yes you are right, It ll pull out for the approver or reponsilble, I would suggest to tweak the report if you need approval by an admin etc
or other way is PTARQ > TEST APPLICATION> Put the employee number etc and make it MODE A and approve it from backend 
ie whoever is the manager, put his ID and you ll get list of open requests under him
