Work Flow Transport Impact

Dear Experts,

Kindly suggest impacts/notes associated if we do a PR work flow transport (transport from dev-> qlty -> prd) for the below issue.

Issue: In the current client SAP PR work flow (production system), there is difference in number range for the objects generated specifically with respect to “ID” (Tcode: PPOMW) in comparison to development and quality system.

For example the production system (Tcode: PPOMW) (Task Assignment- Column) 50009229 (ID – column) differs with respect to Qlty system (Tcode: PPOMW)  (Task Assignment- Column) 50008994 (ID – column) & in Dev system (Tcode: PPOMW) - no entry.

Now the client wants to create new id in the work flow and attach it to the MM PR release strategy and transport to the other systems.

Question:

1) Is position ID numbers considered as master data?. Any specific note would be beneficial

2) If position is created in development system and system generates a ID number for it and required config. is done in MM for PR approval process (tcode OLME) in dev. system. And as next step if these changes are transported to quality system or PRD system .

          - Will a new number for position ID be generated based on the number range availability in corresponding system (Qlty or PRD). ?

         -  If there a new number is generated then must it be linked to MM config. again in OLME tcode ? in corresponding systems.

A note is available but not any details specific to above issue.

Note 2188451 - ME875:Agent ID release strategy workflow, can be bench marked with respect Agent ID availability in system or not and should be maintained according.

Thank you for time,

Eshwar
