As addition to my last reply, the parameter CRM_MAX_QUEUE_NUMBER_DELTA is for parallelizing delta load.

To parallelize queue processing during the Initial Load, parameter CRM_MAX_QUEUE_NUMBER_INITIAL must be maintained in CRMPAROLTP on the R3 Backend.

For parallelizing Request Loads, refer to note 426159.

The note 765236 as I mentioned gives detailed information and some related notes regarding the performance.
