Section 8.4.1 Formatting of Date and Time with SAP HANA Data Sources.

With SAP HANA data sources, the presentation of dates and times works as follows:

SAP HANA supports date and time data only as characteristics, not as key figures. Unlike SAP NetWeaver BW, SAP HANA does not allow different formats of date and time characteristics.

Dates and times from SAP HANA data sources are always presented in the following way:

YYYY:MM:DD - for example 2012:07:29

However, this does not seem to correspond to what I am seeing.

Taking a date of 1st July 2016 as an example, the formats are as follows:

1. Data loaded into HANA: 2016-07-01
2. HDB SQL console: 01-Jul-2016
3. Analysis for Office: 01.07.2016
4. Design Studio: 7/1/16

Scenarios 2, 3 and 4 are executed with the same HANA user id.
